Our Structure
Learning organic farming techniques at Sewalanka's Islander CenterSEDCO has a streamlined, bottom-up structure that draws heavily on Sewalanka Foundation's network.
SEDCO focal points in Sewalanka district offices work with grassroots community organizations to:
- Identify and assess trade and investment opportunities,
- Prepare proposals for working capital or equity investment,
- Provide business advisory services, and
- Monitor investments.
Sewalanka continues to provide institutional development support and coordinate training and support services.
The Company is governed by a professional Board of Directors. The SEDCO Board serves as an independent body that makes investment decisions based on financial viability and social impact.
The national-level team provides financial oversight and assists district and regional focal points with value chain assessments, business and sector analyses and inter-regional and international trade linkages.
