Sewa Economic Development Company (SEDCO) was registered as a Private Guaranteed Limited Company with the Registrar of Companies under the Companies Act, No. 17 in June 2004. Our registration number is N(PEG)177.

SEDCO has an enterprise model and a social mission:

• Catalyze economic development and structural change by increasing the share of the value chain that is captured and circulated within rural areas

Our objectives:

• Increase the income of rural producers by facilitating collective marketing systems and vertical and horizontal market linkages

• Help community groups and rural entrepreneurs establish efficient and sustainable enterprises through value chain investment, advisory services and market linkages

• Generate rural employment opportunities

Our focus on direct trade and value chain investment complements and supports the social and institutional development services of Sewalanka Foundation and the lending services of Sewa Finance.
